For as long as I can remember I knew I wanted to work in fashion. In high school I was accepted into the Nordstrom Fashion Ambassador program where I was able to learn more about the different careers in fashion. After that program I knew I wanted to learn more about fashion marketing, and I was accepted into the Fashion Marketing program at the Wilson School Of Design. In that program I learned so much about what goes on behind the scenes, from marketing to visual merchandising. At the end of my first year I got my current position as a Marketing Assistant for Social District. After nearly four years of working in Social Media Marketing my knowledge has grown immensely. I have learned about what it takes to create a successful marketing campaign and how social media has impacted the marketing industry. After finishing my diploma I continued my studies, working towards a degree in Business. During this period I discovered that I wasn’t fulfilled, I knew I belonged in something more creative. That’s when I found the International Fashion Business program at Nottingham Trent University, and I knew that’s where I was meant to be. Since being in this program I have learned about what makes fashion brands successful and how much work goes into maintaining that success. In the future, I hope to continue learning more about fashion and I can’t wait for the future.
